The Games also marked a milestone in eco-friendly event planning, with 95% of venues being existing or temporary. Now, as the torch passes to Los Angeles, the legacy of Paris 2024 continues to inspire.

A Spirited Journey: Global Innovations & Transatlantic Trade in the Spirits Industry
Whisky Live Paris, the world’s largest fine spirits event, showcased emerging trends like premiumization, low/no alcohol growth, and food pairings during its 20th edition this September. Premium spirits saw a 4% rise in 2023, while the low/no alcohol category expanded by 5%, reflecting the evolving tastes of younger generations.
Lyra Global's Founder & Principal had the honor of moderating the Spirits Trade Forum for the European American Chamber of Commerce in early October, where we addressed the looming risk of retaliatory tariffs on American whiskeys and European spirits. These tariffs of up to 50% could return as early as March 2025, underscoring the need for permanent removal to safeguard transatlantic trade.
